Real-time digital intelligence with a clear reading on the trend.

RefreshGauge helps executives, investors, and policy-minded professionals stay oriented in fast-moving digital news. We aggregate public RSS feeds, apply AI to summarise and classify stories, and surface the most relevant items by goal, topic, and time period (24 hours up to 12 months as the archive grows).

Who we are

RefreshGauge is developed and operated by Frisse Bronnen (frissebronnen.nl), an independent publisher focused on clear, timely information.

The product name reflects our approach: a refresh of curated stories each cycle, and a gauge — a reading on direction and temperature, not just headlines.

Three goals

Every story is tagged with one or more strategic lenses:

Digital Productivity

Enterprise AI, robotics, infrastructure, automation — efficiency and competitive advantage.

Digital Autonomy

Open source, decentralisation, privacy hardware, self-sovereign identity — independence from central platforms.

Digital Privacy

Surveillance, digital currency, e-ID, encryption policy, debanking — regulatory and civil-liberty implications for business.

How we use AI

Public articles are fetched from RSS and Atom feeds — publishers, policy outlets, and selected newsletters (including Substack).
Sources are checked on a 4-hour schedule. Quality over volume: only items scoring above our relevance threshold are kept.
A local AI model rewrites titles into neutral business English and produces a three-sentence summary.
Each item receives a goal, topic, sentiment (🟢 opportunity · 🟠 mixed · 🔴 headwinds), and relevance score (65–95).
Summaries are indicative — always read the original article. We do not use subscriber or visitor data to train models.

Sources & attribution

RefreshGauge does not republish full articles. Each card links to the original publisher. Source name and publication date are shown on every item. Feeds are processed automatically every four hours; editorial quality depends on source selection, relevance filtering, and AI classification.

What's next — Gauge reports

We are building periodic Gauge reports: aggregate trend readings per goal and period, using the same green / amber / red logic at a higher level — a temperature for the whole field, not only individual stories. Suitable for board briefings and investor updates.
